As a consequence, my needs and desires for treatment are fairly specific. Dr. Ryan Hill was very responsive to my email enquires and helped to develop a plan for treating the situation with new technology hearing aids. I required a pair of temporary replacement hearing aids upon my first visit which were provided gratis by Dr. Hill. The initial session went well and I was able to function (from a hearing standpoint) adequately until my molds for my custom ITC hearing aids were available. My next visit was two weeks later with a visit to another associate in the clinic. The new (Starkey Genesis AI) hearing aids were provided with initial setup and real-ear-measurement performed to establish a baseline performance. Then the difficulties set in...the Starkey app which is essential for hearing adjustments and programming was not able to be downloaded to my iPhone (note that the Starkey aids are made-for-iPhone devices). My country / region settings on the phone (as defined under Apple ID - Media and Purchases) was not compatible with downloading the required app on the Apple App Store. A note to potential users of the Starkey devices is to ensure the required / essential app 'My Starkey' is available and installed on your phone prior to receiving these advanced appliances. In my opinion, it would have been most helpful for some advance warning about the availability of the app. My point of origin into the US and what Apple Store was being accessed frustrated the 2nd session considerably. A lesson learned here is that audiologists using the latest technologies that require a phone interface (in my case specifically, an iPhone interface) must now also be very aware of how the phone's use and availability impact the quality of service provided and plan ahead for possible roadblocks. After my first TeleHear session (an excellent service option) about one month after the initial fitting that occurred on the second in-office visit, issues that were apparent during the initial fitting are being resolved, step-by-step. I am appreciative of the response by Dr. Hill and his patience in addressing each of my concerns and hearing challenges. I will be continuing TeleHear sessions to address some ongoing issues with the devices and their interaction with accessories I commonly use and depend on, such as the TV streamer. This particular accessory, which I have used with previous Starkey Livio RIC devices is still not available to me one month into using the new devices. It is a work in-progress. My hearing issues are particularly challenging and the technology and interface processes are relatively new for all concerned. I have confidence that Dr. Hill's office and his services in particular will continue to improve my hearing in as many applications as possible, given the state of my disability and the ability of the devices to address those concerns.April DickmanApril Dickman ★★★★★ Mike and his assistant Sydney are so helpful. Their knowledge about hearing exceeded all others 10 fold. I am only 3 weeks in and have had my first follow up appointment. I have waited to write this review because I wanted the newness to wear off.

There were several different hearing aids that I have tried and I did not like any of them. I was at the point that I did not care what the cost was I just wanted to be able to be a part of conversations and live my life like normal. I did not know that it was not the hearing aids......it was the tuning, the fit, the entire process that makes the hearing aid experience work. It is not just the hearing aid. I even asked one of my past audiologists if there was way to test my hearing aids after they were tuned to my prescription and they said that there is no reason to do that. Wow! I did not know about Real Ear Measuring until after my research and that is how I found The Hill Hear Better Clinic. You don't know how valuable it is to hear when you slowly lose your hearing..... until you get it back. Highly recommend. You do get what you pay for. I wasted 5 years of bouncing around looking for a deal. It is not worth it. Just leave it up to them and do whatever they say. They know what they are doing and will not steer you wrong. And as a side note.......
